Exclusive Training Profits Scam

March 31, 2012 By Paul (Founder, WorkAtHomeTruth) 9 Comments

Note: All details of the Leanee Gibbs Exclusive Home Profits sales page, terms and conditions, privacy policy, etc. as outlined in this post have preserved in multiple ways, including video recording.

I found out about the Exclusive Training Profits scam from somebody who had their email account hacked and sent me a message saying, “Nice Opportunity! Ways to Earn Extra Money Online.” The site has all of the usual warning signs of scams like this.

Contact Details?

I hunted around for contact details for the company behind this scam when doing warnings about other scams they ran. I don’t know if any of these are still good, but here are phone numbers they have used in the past:

  • 1-888-840-8956
  • 1-888-824-596
  • ENGLISH +1.3057227658
  • +1.8888861034 (Toll Free)
  • SPANISH +56.22459992
  • FRENCH +33.975178827
  • PORTUGUESE +55.1130135429
  • FAX +1.3056752956

Note: The company itself seems to operate out of Panama as you can see in the image below.

Exclusive Home Profits

Note: ExclusiveTrainingProfits.com appears to be related to several other sites I’ve put out warnings about that have generated numerous complaints, including the following:

  • Home Profit Web (Original Warning)
  • Home Cash Access
  • Exclusive Home Profits

Exclusive Training Profits Warning Signs

Note: The site uses a disclaimer that is WAY at the bottom of the page and hard to find

Warning Sign #1) Promoted by Fake News Sites

Currently, Exclusive Training Profits is being promoted by the following scam news sites:

  • 11 Job Revolution
  • News Daily 7
  • WorkFromHome007

These are all being redirected to from a page off of the German Site: motorenwerkstatt-augustin.de

In fact the FTC is continually shutting down fake news sites promoting scams. As you can see below:

FTC V Fake News 1

FTC V Fake News 1

Warning Sign #2) Fake Person Leanee Gibbs

Sites like the Exlusive Training Profits scam, typically use fake “spokespeople” claiming to be one of the following:

  • “The #1 Home Opportunity Consultant in America”
  • “The #1 Work At Home Consultant In America”
  • “The #1 Home Job Consultant In America”

These types of claims go baack a couple years to sites that the FTC shut down in case 2:09-cv-04579-PA-VBK as you can see below:

FTC Case 2:09-cv-04579-PA-VBK image

FTC Case 2:09-cv-04579-PA-VBK image

Warning Sign #3) Headline Used By Hundreds Of Scams

“If You Can Spare 60 Minutes A Day, We Can Offer You A Certified, Proven Work From Home Educational Opportunity To Make Up To $377.95 Per Day!”

Again, this type of headline is taken directly from the “Penbrook Productions scam playbook” as detailed by lawsuit FTC vs. Penbrook Productions referenced above:

Exclusive Training Profits Headline Similar To Penbrook Productions

Exclusive Training Profits Headline Similar To Penbrook Productions

The “per day claim” varies – often $379, or $87, but the basic headline is exactly the same and one of the items that the FTC noted on their fraud complaint against Penbrook Productions.

Warning Sign #4)  DANGEROUS “Free Consultation”

ExclusiveTrainingProfits.com boasts that you’ll get “A Free Consultation With A Search Engine Agent Success Advisor!”

Whenever you see that phrase, RUN AWAY FAST. Once you get on your so-called “free consultation” you will talk to a high-pressure sales person who will try to figure out how much money and credit you have, and then will try to sell you “coaching” for as much as possible. They’ll often even try to tell you that they are looking for people to use for “success stories”.

There are plenty of other warning signs, including:

  • Bogus use of NBC News video.
  • Fake claims about value
  • Bogus “story” using the name Mike Wright, Karl Goodard, or Robert West
  • Bogus countdowns like the ones below:

Fake

Fake Searching Jobs

Fake Searching Jobs

You’ll find those doozies across hundreds of ridiculous scam websites

Here’s The Exclusive Training Profits Telltale Scam Sign:

Bogus Link Posting Table

These types of bogus income projection tables are used by all kinds of scams, including:

  • Envelope Stuffing Scams
  • Mailing Circulars Scams
  • eMail Processing Scams
  • Rebate Processing Scams

Again, the bogus “income projection” table used by Exclusive Training Profits was a centerpiece of the FTC Vs. Penbrook Productions.. Here’s an image-grab of that nonsense from that complaint:

I was just sent a link to this opportunity by Leanee Gibbs. I read the entire ad. Wow, humm,. maybe. So towards the end of the article it says to sign up today at a price of 97.xx$. If you do sign up today, you will avoid paying as much as 500.00 dollars if you wait for another opportunity. I thought this was outrageous as it is a very unreasonable thing to say to get a person interested. Then the article “by Leanee” goes on to advise the reader to act today before she has to raise the enrollment fee another 29.00. And how special is that she mentions, because she will lock us into this price for a lifetime. What, down the road she raises the cost of enrollment and everyone already on board would also be charged the addition? Whatever, that was the main deal breaker. She suddenly sounded like a pathetic beggar/shark, just waiting patiently for you to entire your card info. I am so glad you posted this site. She had all the the things listed above to beware of.

Folks now a days have zero integrity. So glad I didn’t sign up for that madness. Thanks for sharing this, and saving me the heartache.

Ouch. I redirected your link to an error page, because it was redirecting to a Russian site called homebasedbiz.ru which is distributing either some sort of virus or malware. If you went to that site, you might want to run a full antivirus scan on your computer. I’d also suggest running the free version of Malwarebytes as it will detect malware that many antivirus programs miss (run the quick scan first, then run the full scan).

Stupid me, my best friend sent me this email so i figured I could trust him (not knowing that his email had just been hacked) I was quite desperate for money so I signed up for this mullarky and now I’m stuck here reading this after the fact. I am already watching my bank account with a keen eye but… I guess I’m clueless as to where to go now. Anybody have any idea what I should all do?

You’re not stupid. This is just a company that is preying on desperate people. When people are desperate, people do desperate things – and this company knows that.

If you can’t get the company to refund the money, then you’ll need to file a dispute.

If you paid with a debit card, you’ll need to talk to your bank about their dispute procedures. If you’re really worried, you can have them cancel your debit card and reissue a new one.
If you paid with a credit card, you can usually find the dispute procedures on the back of your billing statement. Again, if you’re really worried, you can have them cancel your credit card and issue a new one.
