Online Profit Masters is a relatively new online scam which promises that people can make money by simply posting links. Of course if you’ve read my recent Online Profit Masters warning you know that it’s all just a big huge hoax that could end up costing you thousands of dollars. You’ll be contacted by high pressure sales people trying to get you to spend thousands of dollars on training from companies with a highly questionable background.
The type of training that many of these companies associated with Online Profit Masters offers has been the subject of many angry complaints and comments. Once you talk to the front-line “qualifier” they will try to figure out how much money you have in your bank and how much credit you have. Then you’re moved onto the next person in the program, who suggets a training program equal to the amount of money and credit you have available. This type of set up is very common these days and hopefully you will run the other direction very fast.
Online Profit Masters displays a table so that you can dream about all the money you can make “just by posting links”. The problem is tables like these aren’t based in any sort of reality. You see, the only way you get paid in a program like this is if someone finds your link, clicks on your link, then takes an action such as buying product, filling out a form (such as filling out a detailed insurance quote form that will allow an insurance company to follow up with them).
Here’s the bottom line: the claims that this company makes are bogus. They aren’t out to help you make any income at all. They are simply out to take as much money as possible from you. You’re never going to make money “just posting links” just as you’re never going to make money “just mailing envelopes”.
UPDATE 4/21/2012: This appears to now be going under the name Income Masters Institute.
And while there are many legitimate ways of earning extra income on the internet, Online Profit Masters is NOT one of them. There are several ways for you to make money online. There are task based sites that allow you to earn extra income performing tasks. There are many sites that offer writers the opportunity to make money online. And there are various types of businesses you can start. However, there is absolutely NO way to get rich overnight and whenever you see a site that claims you can do so, you should leave as soon as possible.
The bottom line: AVOID Online Profit Masters. It may be one of the most complained about programs I’ve seen in a long time and could potentially suck thousands of dollars out of your pocketbook. It’s BAD, BAD news.

If you paid with a credit card, file a dispute with your credit card company. The dispute procedures are usually on the back of your billing statement. If you paid with a debit card, you’ll need to talk to your bank about their particular dispute procedures. Both may ask you if you’ve tried to work it out with the company first.
