Home Income Package Review Of Red Flags

March 20, 2012 By Paul (Founder, WorkAtHomeTruth) 35 Comments

Note: All details of the Home Income Package sales page, terms and conditions, privacy policy, etc. as outlined in this post have preserved in multiple ways, including video recording.

Use Of  A Conditional Refund Policy

Despite what you may read from support in the comments, if you are thinking of buying this, you HAVE to go by the refund policy as stated on the site itself. Here’s the refund policy listed on the HomeIncomePackage.com site:

Home Income Package Refund Policy

Home Income Package Refund Policy

Read that refund policy and ask yourself the following question: “What does an “honest try” mean? Here’s the answer: NOTHING. It’s not defined.

And that’s the problem.

These types of conditional refund policies with vague terms such as “honest try” are COMMONLY used to deny refund requests. I recommend that whenever you see a refund policy like this – GET AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

HUGE WARNING: 1-On-1 Coaching

The people behind Home Income Package and several other sites refuse to disclose who their “coaching floor is”. That is yet ANOTHER reason you need to AVOID Home Income Package. I’ve heard a great deal of horror stories from people who have lost thousands – if not tens of thousands of dollars to questionable “coaching” and other services. Typically the sales pitch for this type of coaching goes something like this (sometimes in a different order).

  • You are told that the coaching program is looking for success stories they can use.
  • You are asked questions about your credit and cash available (although sometimes the fishing for this information is neatly hidden within other dialogue).
  • You are promised that you can make big money (you are sometimes even quoted specific dollar amounts within specific time frames)
  • You are high pressured to sign up soon to secure your spot.

Of course the promises made on the phone call are documented…but the contract that you sign IS almost always MUCH different than the promises you were told during the sales pitch.

I can also tell you this, if the coaching is based out of Utah, be exceedingly cautious. Personally, I wouldn’t let any friends or family near a coaching company out of Utah.

Of course, I probably wouldn’t let my friends and family near any sort of phone-based coaching call marketed by promising a “Free 1 on 1 Training Consultation.” Just be careful. That’s all I’ll say.

Of course, if you have information about the coaching floor that Home Income Package uses, please post the information in the comments section. Thanks in advance for anybody who is able to do that.

IMPORTANT TIP:

NEVER, EVER…EVER reveal your credit card limits or how much money is available on your credit cards, bank accounts, etc., or even give ANY hint of how much money you’re willing to spend…UNTIL you  ask the sales person how much money is required. If you start getting the feeling that more and more money is trying to be squeezed out of you, HANG UP IMMEDIATELY.

Here are some of the aspects of Home Income Package that concern me:

Red Flag #1) It’s a clone of other sites that have generated NUMEROUS complaints.

Here’s what some companies do once they generate a large number of complaints. They change the name of their site. Once one site generates enough complaints they set up another one using the same template. Why? Because they know that customers can easily find the complaints for the old site within Google.

I strongly recommend you take a look at the comments on some of their previous sites, which I’ve listed below:

  • Online Income Solution – 247 comments – read them here.
  • Home Wealth Solution – 286 comments – read them here.
  • My Real Income – 13 comments – read them here.
  • Automated Profit Package – 265 comments – read them here.
  • Automated Home Jobs – 3 comments – read them here.
  • Autopilot Home Profits – 110 comments – read them here.

Red Flag #2) Meaningless use of News logos and other logos

Home Income Package has “As Advertised” next to the following trademarked logos:

  • FoxNews
  • MSNBC
  • CNN
  • People
  • Time

Obviously, “As Advertised On” is entirely meaningless… since that is something ANYBODY.

Another issue is the fact that there is an “AS SEEN ON:” image with an asterisk with no corresponding explanation:

Home Income Package

Home Income Package "As Seen On" Claim

Red Flag #3) The “Voted #1” Claim At Home Income Package

Home Income Package boast that it’s been “Voted #1 By Many Top Publications” and even goes to the ridiculous extreme of displaying numerous copies of “Entrepreneur Magazines” next to that claim.

Guess what: Entrepreneur doesn’t “vote” on anything. And Home Income Package was NEVER In Entrepeneur Magazine.\

Red Flag #4) Claim Of Earning $379 Per Day

It may sound a bit odd, but the fact is that the $379 figure is a number used by a substantial number of extremely questionable opportunities.

Red Flag #5) Use Of Stock Photos For Testimonials

The image of Jane & Jeremy C. is a stock photo.

Red Flag #6) Home Income Package’s Bizarre And Meaningless Scarcity Tactics

Home Income Package states:

“IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to high demand and to protect existing members we may decide to make the number of Available Positions Limited. These positions are to be taken up on a strictly first come, first serve basis.”

Funny, how they keep launching site after site after site with different names – including one claiming that they’ve trained over 800,000 members. LOL.

Red Flag #7) HomeIncomePackage.com Is Promoted By Fake News Sites

Online Income Is being promoted by the Fake News (Advertorial) website Career-Reports.com. I have NEVER seen these types of sites promote anything other than highly questionable products.

Red Flag #8) Whois History Connects HomeIncomePackage.com To Other Questionable Sites

Home Income Package is connected to other sites that have generated a huge number of complaints. Even though their current WhoIs record shows:

Home Income Package 08-25-2011 Whois Record

Home Income Package 08-25-2011 Whois Record

I have just been scammed by this HomeIncomePackage. I don’t know what to do to be able to refund my money. I have a question though. If I have given them my credit card number, does this mean that they can charge me anytime they want?

Here’s what a representative from the company posted on another thread:

“If you are wanting a refund, please feel free to email us at [email protected] and we will happily assist you. You can make the email out for my attention if you wish (Paul Wilson). I will respond as soon as possible.

If you don’t get your refund within 2 – 3 business days, then I would file a dispute with your credit card company – or if you paid with a debit card you’ll need to talk to your bank about their dispute procedures.

If you got it through the real company, I don’t think they’ll charge you anytime they want. However, if you got the original link through a hacked email then it’s possible – as some of the hackers are sending people to a fake version of the site.

I came across this dubious website and it was amazing but with software what they did was very clever. There was an advert claiming to be in the same town where I live. That itself raised doubts in my mind because I do not think that this person lives where I live> I think they used software to detect where I was surfing from and posted a fake story of some one claiming to be living in the same town and making a lot of money using this system. But I’m an IT professional. If some one offers you a job or work from home package and when you want to leave the page they bring the price down, it means they are trying to just get to your money. RUN!

I just singed up due to the advert that had my home town in there and it’s not the biggest place in Gauteng, South Africa. Home Cash Package, as I was sceptical yet liked the idea I signed up. Now feel so insucure its not funny. Can I also send details to get refunded. I always look out for this, but got caught any way.

    Dear Paul and fellow dudes

I thought I was scammed after signing up for Home Income Package http://www.careerjournalonline.com/newsupdate/workfromhome/trifu/0eu2lm77a2/my/ for US$24.97 – one-time payment and finding your website, try closing your browser and they will offer you this instead of US$65.90. If you have to pay monthly after that, then I would agree that they are trying to scam you.

Well, the squeeze pages are there to get you to spend more. But I must say that the whole program is very well signed to introduce newbies to the Internet Marketing opportunity presented by the concept of affiliate marketing. For $25, it beats paying thousands of $$$ to attend a live course with an instructor so to say that it is a scam is not quite correct. I enjoyed the online course and I must say that it is one of the best I have tested.

It is a great introduction to the ins and outs of Internet marketing but it will not give you the income stream promised unless you “GET IT” and spend the necessary time to learn as in any new endeavor or religion. For advanced marketers, check out Google Sniper which has much more tips for only $1.

If you have questions, email me: [removed for privacy reasons]

PS I am not an affiliate for Home Income Package.

Apparently they didn’t teach you much, if you are posting your email in the comments section of the blog, which is commonly known as comment spamming – even among newbies.

Plus, the CareerJournalonline site you listed is a fake news site of the variety that has been shut down by the FTC. Not only that, but it currently leads to a site – Profit Masters Academy, which has also gone under the name of Home Profit Masters, Online Profit Masters, and Income Masters Institute. that has one of the most notorious online marketing campaigns I’ve ever documented, including using testimonials from a Federal Trade Commission complaint!

      Here’s a video I did:

        Paul

I am in full agreement with your comments. Keep up the good work.

Instead of trying to scam visitors, the site should tell the truth that Internet Marketing is no easy way to riches. But then again, hyping up an offering is not a crime but using fake logos and misrepresentation is. Unfortunately, telling things exactly isn’t quite going to cut it but then again isn’t smoke and mirrors a big part of selling. How often have you bought a gadget only to find that it does not quite perform as the manufacturer claims?

        Just my 2 cents.
