Automatic Profit System review and analysis of sales page

Automatic Profit System wants you to believe that you can make cash quickly using its system. But the REAL problem is that Automatic Profit System seems to want you to believe it’s a “job” when it states:

“I want a job that pays substantially well enough that I can take care of my family and give them everything they need…”

So as part of your due-diligence in considering whether or not to buy Automatic Profit System I HIGHLY recommend you review the following red-flags I found on the Automat Profit System sales page:

Automatic Profit System red-flag #1)

Claim: Automatic Profit System claims to be the internet’s “#1 Rated Work-At-Home Opportunity”.

Problem: but doesn’t say who’s rated them this way.

Automatic Profit System red-flag #2)

Claim: “David Palmer” claims that he’s recognized by many as America’s top work-at-home consultant.

Problem: I’ve seen hundreds of sites make this claim, INCLUDING ones that were shut down by the Federal Trade Commission.

Automatic Profit System red-flag #3)

Claim: “David Palmer” using pen-name (this isn’t always a red-flag, see below as to why it is in this case).

Problem: Automatic Profit System puts a disclaimer WAY at the bottom of the page in fine print that “*For purposes of privacy, the creator of Automatic Profit System is using the name David Palmer. This story is based upon the real life adaptation of the parties involved. The Company reserves the rights to the name and any uses of it as affiliated with the product. Any improper uses by unauthorized parties is strictly prohibited.”

Usually, there’s no problem with someoby using a pen name, BUT, when you see a pen name on a website like Automatic Profit System which has many OTHER red flags, then you SHOULD consider the use of a pen name a red-flag.

Automatic Profit System red-flag #4)

Use of stock photos for testimonials.

AutomaticProfitSystem.com has the following disclaimer at the bottom of their page:

“All Testimonials are 100% Real and Accurate and the attestants have been remunerated for allowing Automatic Profit System’s use of the same. For the sake of customer privacy, Automatic Profit System reserves the right to protect and/or substitute the images of attestants. The images displayed hereon are not the actual images of the attestants. The images displayed hereon have been supplied by Automatic Profit System and are the copyrighted property of Automatic Profit System.”

Any time you see this kind of wording you should consider it a HUGE RED FLAG.

Automatic Profit System red-flag #5)

Claim: FREE one-on-one consultation with an APS Startup Specialist

Problem: Often these FREE one-on-one consultations are used to try to convince you that you need to spend thousands of dollars extra in order to succeed with the system. In fact, I HAVE seen several people say that they HAVE spent thousands of dollars with this company.

Automatic Profit System red-flag #6)

Automatic Profit System is being promoted by numerous fake news sites such as:

  • News1Reports.com
  • News10Reports.com

The BBB has also recently asked Automatic Profit System to substantiate it’s claims. Here’s what they said:

“Advertising Review

On January 15, 2010 the BBB asked the company to substantiate its advertising claims:

1) “The Internet’s #1 Work At Home Opportunity!”

2) “The next 17 people from Saint Petersburg can earn up to $150,000 + this year working one hour a day working from a home computer, using the Internet’s fastest, easiest and laziest system for legally printing money.”

3) “If you have 60 minutes…You Can Use This Proven Solution To Make $500 Today On Autopilot, Just By Pushing A Few Buttons!”

4) “No Experience Required. Satisfaction Is 100% Guaranteed!”

5) Proof of Testimonials) “The Only Solution You’ll Ever Need For Seeing Cash In Just Minutes”

The company has failed to substantiate or modify its claims.”

Automatic Profit System red-flag #7)

Customer support posts on sites where people are complaining.

This is a HUGE RED FLAG and is often done by a company to try preven people from filing complaints with the BBB and FTC in order to stay under the radar of the Federal Trade Commission.

In fact, you can see that the company has posted in this very discussion.

12/27/2010 UPDATE:

The Attorney from Automatic Profit System apparently doesn’t like what’s going on here and wants me to take down this page.

Obviously there’s a MAJOR disagreement about what’s going on here, which means that if anyone feels that the regulators should be involved, they MUST file complaints to bring it to their attention to get their opinion on the matter.  I will also be using my connections to get documentation to them as well to see what they think.

Remember, it’s always innocent until proven guilty – and also it’s important to note that “RED-FLAGS” are only “warning signs” and should only be used as part of your own due diligence.

In other words, it doesn’t mean one side is right and one is wrong at this point, but ultimately it’s the only way that situations like this get resolved one way or the other.

IF you think you’ve been treated unfairly by Automatic Profit System, I’ll explain WHERE you should file complaints and WHY you should file complaints to various State, Local, and Federal Agencies (as well as the BBB). The more complaints you file with EVERY agency the better decision can be made on behalf of all parties involved – consumers as well as the people behind Automatic Profit System.

If you have any questions about any of the preceding or following, just ask me in the comments section.

IMPORTANT! Do NOT file complaints just because you are “mad” at a Automatic Profit System. However, if you feel Automatic Profit System has acted deceptively in your dealings with them or is engaging in unfair business practices then the following is the where and why of how to file complaints:

1. You should DEFINITELY file complaints with the Better Business Bureau. You can file here:

Click here to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

WHY file complaints with the BBB:

I’m not a big fan of the BBB for “evaluating” companies on their own – but they do a GREAT JOB of collecting and organizing complaints.

Not only that, but the FTC reviews complaints from the BBB on a regular basis as part of their gathering of extrinsic evidence on cases (essentially that means evidence outside their review of the actual sales materials and sales process).

2. You should DEFINITELY file with your AGs Office and the AG of any state that the company is operating out of. You can find the relevant Attorneys General’s offices here:

Click here for a full list of Current Attorneys General’s Offices.

WHY file complaints with the AGs:

One of my friends is an attorney that used to work for the Missouri Attorneys General’s office. Here’s what she told me:

She said that typically ONE state AG will will investigate a company first and then file suit against them if they feel it is justified. After that OTHER AGs will sometimes also file against the company. And AFTER the AGS file, the FTC takes notice and considers filing against the company.

3. You should file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

Click here to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

WHY file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission

Again, this has to do with collecting extrinsic evidence that the FTC sometimes factors into their cases.

4. You should file a complaint with IC3.gov (The Internet Crime Complaint Center)

Click here to file a complaint with IC3.gov

WHY file complaints with IC3.gov

IC3.gov is useful for law enforcement to determine if certain potential cases are related, even if they appear to be from different sectors.

5. It may be helpful to contact your State’s Office Of Consumer Protection

Click here to find your State’s Office Of Consumer Protection

Why contact your State’s Office Of Consumer Protection

Some Consumer Protection Offices do facilitate dispute resolution. However, you should note that certain complaints may be within the jurisdiction of other local, state, or federal offices.

Gentleperson, Sounds interresting, in laemens terms would like more info concerning cost (none hidden) job skills needed, exp. etc. what expectations required quotas so forth. THANK YOU, TED H. SEIDEMAN 9-26

  2. The parent company to Automatic Profit System is Internet Sales Institute. They claim they are with the business development office. They are just another company piggy backing off a start up kit. they are a complete skam. The coaches are not people who are making 6 figures with their own online business. They send you to stupid ebay college which you can get the same info of ebay. They also say they have all these tools they give you. It is complete garbage. All of the tools you can get like website, SOS marketing, domain, EVEN RESEARCH SOFTWARE WHICH SHOW WHAT IS SELLING ON EBAY-THIS IS THEIR GOLDEN BULLET IN THEIR GUN…HA HA”. All in all the tools they give you cost around 3k to do by yourself. They just charge you whatever they want up to twenty thousand dollars. They justify this by, every legitimate business that has the POTENTIAL RETURN of 6 figures is going to have a start up cost. All in all these guys are just manipulating words they read out of a business book to get your money. Dont give any of it to them!!!

I JUST SIGNED UP FOR THE “AUTOMATIC PROFIT SYSTEM”, AND WHEN I CALLED TO GET THE NEEDED INFO, I WAS STONE-WALLED. NO INFO GIVEN. SO, I WANTED A REFUND BUT WAS TOLD “NO-CAN-DO”!

I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I AM A TBI SURVIVOR, GETTING BY AS BEST I CAN ON SSDI, AND DO NOT APPRECIATE BEING SCAMMED. SO EITHER RETURN MY FUNDS TODAY, PEOPLE INVOLVED, OR I WILL PERSONALLY SUE YOU TOMORROW.

    • Patricia,

Just want to make sure you understand you are on a site WARNING people about that product.

If you paid via credit card you should file a dispute with your credit card company. If you paid by debit card, you’ll need to work with your bank.

      • Thanks for the warning? I almost was willing to give them a try. I saw a article in the Los Angeles Times with some lady claiming she’s been making 6000 a month from this progrgam. It almost hooked me until I decided to do a little detective work and found this website. Thank you! I guess if it sounds to good to be true it usually is!

        • Glad you’ll be able to avoid this one.

          • I almost spent my last 100.00 dollar bill on this system. My wife has been out off work for a year and the bills keep pilling up. So I was loking for a to help me catch up and not loose our home. It is sad when a country like ours let people like A.P.System take advantage of strongling families that trieing to save what little they have left.

    • Did you ever get your money back, this guy said he will.

Hello my name is Paul Abrams and I am customer support manager for an automatic profit systems. I want to address some concerns you may have about our program. It is true we do use a pen name for the creater of our program, as many companies do for privacy reasons. We are definitely not a scam, and our testimonials are real however we also do not use they real photos for security and privacy reasons this is not a red flag, it is good sensible business. You should know we are a REAL company, (with many happy customers and

      fly-by-night operation or scam.

In fact, we have an entire customer support team in place to make sure
you are happy with your investment because we don’t want ANY
unsatisfied customers out there. Not too many training programs
      online can say that.

However, we understand this opportunity is not for everyone.

Please just give us a call and we will issue you a prompt and courteous refund.

We want you to have a positive experience with our company so we can

      • bs you can suck my grandmas balls cuz your just a little pussy.”It pains me whenever I see negative comments posted online about our company,” umm last time i check paul was a guys name…what are you fing pmsing or waht you little pussy. Are you on your period liitle girl? hah yah so dont be goin around trying to bs people by saying oh “it pains me.” Your a loser a pussy and obviously someones b*tch because your writting this for them. So just go away and go try to get someone elses balls to lick.

      • listen here you puppet. how do explain this fake website…www.news1report.com…… yea that’s what i thought, complete BS

        • I would tend to agree. It LOOKS like what many companies do to keep people from filing complaints so they can keep flying under regulators’ radars. I’m not saying that this is PROOF of that, which is why I’ve added a section above for people who would like to file complaints to get this situation resolved once and for all.

I’m sure that’s what all parties involved would like out of this.

      • Hey, boy, where did you learn how to (not) spell? And, your grammar sucks.

        • Donald Newton says:

          Philip C:

First, I am not your boy and using words like sucks tells a person where your mind is fixed. Are your Gay?

          Donald N.

      • Don Newton says:

        Paul,

You do sound like a very sincere person and you may not be aware of how bad things look. I was one of the nations first cybercrime instructors and I am the freelance cybercrime examiner for Lafayette, LA. I signed up for your program today to test and see how trust worth your company really is. I must say, what I found was very troubling. Now, I will be the first to say that there is legitimate work at home programs available. However, I found automatic profit system advertising methods out and out fraudulent. One thing troubling is that since 1-8-2011 there have been over 50 complaints filed to the BBB primarily about not returning the money of customers even though that was a guarantee. This has caused the company to receive an F. How can your company expect to train people to keep a good rating with EBAY if it cannot keep one with the Florida BBB. Also the charge on my bank statement had a question mark on where the charge was made. I must say also, I found it interesting that automated profit systems wanted to qualify me as an investor. When I was asked detailed questions about my savings accounts, 401K, type of credit or debit cards I have and was asked what type of money I have to invest I mentioned $3,500, then bingo, the price was right. I intend to publish a series of articles in the cybercrime examiner and to begin to educate the public on the modus operandi of Internet gaming works and how they can assist people from top to bottom to get a fair trial. The interesting thing about this case is that it has not just a national flavor but also an international flavor and that will certainly make Interpol delighted. I have canceled my card and will file a compliant with my bank tomorrow. There is no need for me to talk to a so-called director. The chances of me giving the automated profit system $3,500 is zero. By the way, how many times has your company changed its name? Feel free to go ahead and refund my money.

        Regards

        Donald M. Newton
        The Lafayette Cybercrime Examiner

      • Is your real name paul?

  4. I went into that site and they claim doesn’t cost much –what a bunchof BS . after you sign up then they hit you with if you dont have this or that you won’t make as much money – been there done that and won’t give them or any others a penny I would say at least 99% are scams and if you check most are in Arizona – what I want to see is the names pop up as being closed down – every one of them that took poor peoples money with a smoothe talker who should be ashamed to look in the mirror every day and not feel guilty for what they have done to so many people. But then I don’t think they have a conscience HOW SAD!!!!

  5. I am currently making money with this program it is amazing they give you 15 free websites that you can start with!!!

    • LOL. You know a program’s bad when they have to send their shills and cheerleaders out! That’s my GUESS about Thomas anyhow. Who knows, maybe he’s the real deal making zillions of dollars.

This kind of comment is STRAIGHT from my friend Lynndel Edgington’s playbook (he works directly with an assigned federal agent).

      • so from the inglewod area here california. so let me get this straight u are tellling myself and others that they have people who make false claims like oh im making money with this program ive been doing this for x amount of weeks etc get bac

    • The promises and statements made are completely fraudulent. The statement about making money without any additional costs – psshhhh. They claim that you just have to post a couple of links to high quality websites – didn’t recognize a single one that they provided. They claim just a few minutes to set up these links – hah. I ran around hours and was needing to pay out of pocket at every turn. Promote the products on free websites. Most of what they suggested to do isn’t even allowed by those the suggested. It was all a big joke and a big waste of time and money. Wish I would have found this website before I followed up on the email that got me started.

  6. I ran across this website, and was interested in seeing the new and recent scams. http://news1reports.com/default-js-8.asp?view=0&funnelid=F180&a=b&siteid=APS&vid=
It appears to be a news channel investigating the possibility of fraud. Sounds almost too good to be true, right? Well when you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, the disclaimer reads: Too good to be true? That’s because it is.

  7. Automatic Profit System out of TEMPE, AZ submits for $49.99 from PINEALLES PARK, FL automatically attaches itself to ones bank account for $197.00 without authorization. Audit your bank account immediately upon signing up and call your bank to let them know it is a scam and have them help rectify the theft ASAP. My bank worked with me and this is the end of trying to find a way to work from home thru on-line systems.

  8. What is a good work at home on the computer? I have looked at so many and dont want to get scamed?

    • merekha,

Have you gone through this video? I think it does a great job explaining the reality of what it takes to make money online.

      • Paul, my daughter signed up for this and when she entered credit card info and made the first payment it told her if she wants to upgrade and make more money then she can pay a little more and then a little more. I am sorry but to find a real true job you never have to pay a cent other than your gas or bus fare to go look. I think this is a scam and you really need to quit being money hungry and if this is for real don’t charge people and let them get out of the hole and get on there feet. I don’t know how you can sleep at night knowing you take from the poor to make yourself rich. I am sorry that you feel the need to hurt others and I wish you the best.I hope you sleep good tonight.

  10. Remember the movie “Swordfish” Like John said in the film “What the EYES SEE the MIND BELIEVES”….MIS-DIRECTION!. I’ve worked in the security field since I landed from Germany in 2000. I figured with my background I could land a decent job and have no worries but, in the state of California one must know someone in order for this to happen. I’ve done pretty much of every type of security out here from the Academy Awards yearly to the Winter Olympic’s in Utah and some gig’s are nice paying but, you still need that extra for other wants and needs so you either find a second income or attempt a work from home. Ive tried many where-as I was mislead into the land of make believe by Photo’s video’s, statements and so on. I work as a Special Event’s Body Guard which means I know many people and many LAW Enforcement. When one of my Co-partners run’s a check on someone or in this case a work from home business to be a fraud than I listen or just read the text that’s sent to my cell. The last thing I or anybody needs is to be scam. When The F.B.I. Cyber Team says to me to “MOVE ON” I don’t ask WHY!.

    • Sup MR FBI movie star gig beef cake guy!!!! How was your day hangin out in Germany or Utah???? Go to your lonely hotel room and search for real things in life… Reasons to ask why rather than jumping on a real conversation to talk about swordfish movies!!!! Get real tool!!!! Hopfully you dont have offspring!!!! I often ask why people like you dont have a babysitter!!! Go suk a tit kid!!!

  11. How many unsatisfied people had their money returned to them?

  12. What we need is for people like A.P. Systems to get thrown in Prison for Scamming hard working Americans that are trying to feed and keep their families.

  13. Note: Someone named John posted a message that accidently got deleted, but it still went to my email so I wanted to post what he said:

    “Hi,
Read this report, then wondered why you do not include the Shoemoney System . Words are the same, pages the same, claims the same, and the lack of service and results are the same.
Could it be the same people using a different name?
We know that could never happen on the Nett–or could it?
I got the aps intro days after I demanded a refund from Shoemaker.
There was no reply from Shoemaker.
Also strange is that Jessica lives in Beijing on my email!
Could it be connected to the IP address, as I happen to be in
    China right now?
    Strange coincidence?
    SteveG”

I have seen that site and wanted to confirm it was actually his site as I agree it looks extremely suspicious.

    • I’m in Cairo Egypt, guess what Jessica from Cairo too, lol, so after reading your post I signed into my UK VPN and opened the pages and she shifted to Liverpool where my VPN is based!!!

  14. I am in law school. I am also disabled. Trying to find an online opportunity that is not a scam. The pen name, David Palmer, sent me an e-mail today offering the same APS for a lower amount than advertised. I attempted to e-mail DP back and immediately got a not delivered message back. This turn on the light. So, this is what brought me to this blog. I will make an excellent atty one day and in the last year or so I have come across these alleged scams and it is leading me to resarch the legality applicable to intellectual property. The evoluation of the law is changing everyday regarding intellectual property based upon precendent and legislative/congress action. Together, we can protect our rights so please share any insight that you might have continue to make your remarks on this blog. It is very interesting. Thank you

  15. Wheh!…thank God! I didn’t spend my last bit of money! I have been on UC in PA and it will run out before Christmas, so feeling desperate and not to mention a little vulnerable, I listened to the enticing narrator explain the Automatic Profit System. After listening for a while, I noticed something a little weird about the way the narrator said “Automatic Profit System”. Every time he said it, it was just a little bit different than the rest of the narration (the voice is different or plugged in (edited ) to fit the script. This was my first tip off that something may not be right with this company. I still almost spent the money and thought $49.99 wasn’t that much (they offered a reduced price when I tried to shut it down). But then I read this blog THANK YOU everyone! So, if you’re feeling the anxiety of the holidays…do something better with your money. I’m buying gifts for my grand daughter’s and I have faith that their is a better plan for me. Happy Holidays!

  16. Well they got me. just sign up {Jessia halcomg lives in gainesboro tn in my news report] special offer ended the day I check out the link the news story had posted. They call me started asking question about my credit history, how much money I could spend, how many credit cards I had I knew I was In trouble. thats when I started check Thank you for your web site think I have a chance to get my $200 bad peace david

  17. Paul. I think what you are doing is great. Excellent post. Stand your ground homie. If idiots like this had try to do business where I grew up, you would be referring to them in the past tense.

  18. i want know more about work from home

    tinks

  19. I enjoy reading your inputs always. One thing I constantly do is that every dumb email/website which automatically jumps to a discount before ever even exposing what they are selling gets dumped immediately. I wonder what these people out there trying to rip off everyone imagines the intelligence of all people trying to find an honest way to make some money with the unemployment standards still deplorable. I have been out 18 months and am either too old to retrain, or have made too much money in the past. keep it up

  20. Was about to sign up for this program. Came here and changed my mind quick!

  21. I just came across this link at the bottom of another article I was reading and was curious, http://news1reports.com/default-js-8.asp?view=2&funnelid=F700&a=b&ep=N&siteid=HRS&vid=ctt_id=&ctt_adnw=&ctt_ch=&ctt_entity=&ctt_cli=&ctt_kw=&ctt_adid=&ctt_nwtype=. I don’t usually bother with this sort of thing but at first glance missed that it was an advertisement rather than a link to another news article. A Google search produced a link to your blog and I kept reading.
    Anyway I just wanted to comment on “Jessica Holcomb of” . If you check the page source you’ll find the following;
