Home Income Gateway Review of Red Flags

July 22, 2015 By Paul (Founder, WorkAtHomeTruth) 9 Comments

Is the Michelle Stewart HomeIncomeGateway.com Website a Scam or Does it Really Work?

I haven’t seen a Michelle Stewart link-posting scam in a long time, but yesterday I came across one. In case you’re wondering, Michelle Stewart is a fake name that was commonly used in the past to promote scams similar to the Home Income Gateway work at home program. These types of programs are proven lead generation systems used to get people to talk to unscrupulous sales people who talk people into spending thousands of dollars on products and services that they don’t need.

Michelle Stewart is a Stock Photo

The photo of Michelle Stewart is just a stock photo that has been used by many of these work at home business opportunity scams. Here’s the one from Home Income Gateway:

Here’s the same picture and story, but using the name Amanda Jones:

Yet ANOTHER #1 Work From Home System

Just about every single link-posting scam will claim that they are the #1  Work From Home System and Home Income Gateway is no different as you can see in the image below:

Home Income Gateway Logo

Of course none of these fraudulent work at home programs mention who decided they were the #1 Work At Home System…that’s because nobody did…well, other than themselves.

Misleading Use Of Logos

This is a common, unethical sales tactic these link-posting websites use…the use of news station logos to imply that those stations endorse the scam. They don’t. HomeIncomeGateWay.com uses this image:

Home Income Gateway news LogosThere is at least some partial truth there…Work from Home Opportunities have been featured on Fox News, MSNBC, USA Today, abc, and CNN…just not the Home Income Gateway work at home opportunity.

Fake Testimonials Busted Again

Scammers love the specific testimonials found at HomeIncomeGateWay.com. I’m not sure why…I guess it’s the old “if aint broke, don’t fix it” mentality. What’s weird, though, is those testimonials can be found on an old FTC complaint. I’ve shown that many times and this is a good opportunity to show it again.

Take a look at these testimonials:

Home Income Gateway Testimonials smallNow watch the following video and prepared to be shocked at the fact that those same videos are on a complaint from the Federal Trade Commission!

Talking to an “Internet Wealth Expert”? Watch Your Wallet

So you might be wondering why the scammers keep pushing out these programs relentlessly. I can tell you they don’t do it to make the $37, $47, or $97 or whatever they charge for the programs. The whole reason they do it is to get you to give up your phone number so that a high-pressure sales rep can try to talk you into buying extremely overpriced coaching and other services. In this case, Home Income Gateway is calling their sales people Internet Wealth Experts.

Bottom Line: Avoid the Michelle Stewart Home Income Gateway Link Posting Scam

    Hi Mr. Schlegel,

Great information. Trying to talk my wife out of this. I told her even before reading your article that this has scam written all over it. Someone from this “company” is going to be calling her tomorrow and trust me I’m handling the call. I’ve dealt with these scam artists before and it’s just ridiculous.

    Thank you!

Thank you very much for the information. Is there a work from home via the internet that you would recommend?

I’m currently out of work because our office in Dallas, Texas was closed and moved to the UK. I’ve been out of work since 5/31/15.

Any information you could give me would be very helpful so I can start making an income again.

Thank you very much for your service.

    Best Regards,

    Robert Salinas

    Paul,
I wish I would have researched a little more and found this blog site before I was bamboozled!! This was my first time every buying into a work from home website. Gaurentee to be the last time! I actually purchased the “program/package” from Your Income Gateway and never expected the conversation I just had with a “Startup Specialist.” After stating, this was not something I was interested in doing the person became irate and very difficult to speak with. Simply put, he was loud and obnoxious. I was completly appalled by the unprofessional response received from this person. I cannot confirm nor deny if this site is legitimate or a scam because I had no interest in pursuing this type of marketing. The 800#s seem to connect two male entities. A call I received showed up as an area code in my city. There is absoutely no way I would EVER recommend this site to others.

Thank you! I wish I had found this before falling for their scam but at least I didn’t buy anything “extra” they were trying to sell me. I did NOT call the number and give them anymore of my information thanks to your article. Thank you again and appreciate all the help you’ve provided.

A professional consultant is supposed to call me back for a 1-2 hour consultation but after reading your article, I’ve decided not to answer the phone. All I wanted was something to supplement my income with. I really wish I had of researched this before I talked to the first young lady. I’ll try to get my $97.00 back but if not, it’s a lesson well learned. I might listen to the videos and see if I can learn how to do this on my own. lol Thank you for the information. I guess I’m really gullible.

I was excited to join income gateway but. Quickly learned that it was a scam. Could never get any help. Left phone messages and they never called back. I couldn’t believe I fell for a scam. The presentation made it sound so easy. Not! Anyhow I decided to ask for my 100% money back refund. That 2as almost 3 months ago and delay tactic emails one after another. First it was we will have someone call you then it was call
This person they want to help you ( no one eve r called and I left a message that was never returned). The next delay was they were having trouble refunding my account ( no reason as to why) and that they would send me a cashier’s check but needed my address….I provided about 45 days ago and still waiting for the check in the mail.! Several emails went ignored but they finally responded back with they are not allowed to refund my account with email corresponance and can only refund me if I call them. Agggh I have had enough!!! They are the worst. Do not trust them. I will call on Monday and hopefully will finally get my refund. Wish me luck! If I don’t get it I will follow up with another comment. Warning this compan is a scam!!!!! Always look on the internet for comments on a company before giving them your money no matter how good it sounds!

Thank you so much, I was waiting for a return call and found this blog and I was truly surprised because the initial call was very professional. I had fallen for one of these a few years ago and thought I knew what to look for. Keep up the good work.

Omg! I should have listened to my boyfriend about your income gateway. He was telling me that it was a scam but I didn’t believe him because they made everything look so easy & professional. I came online researching & found your article!! Thanks for much but unfortunately, I already paid the $97 ): definitely not good for my situation as a college student. I will try my best to get my refund, if not, lesson learned about online money making from your income gateway. Thanks again for the information!!
