Are you sick and tired of seeing so many fake blogs online. You know – the ones with fake stories about making money posting links on Google. The ones that use stock photos or stolen photos?
The ones that people STILL keep falling for?
How is it possible that people ignore legitimate sites like TheProfitHQ.com that offer legitimate information on how to make money online…and instead decide to get their advice from fake blogs using made-up stories and stock or stolen photos?
How is it possible?
My guess is a lot of the people who ignore reliable sites like TheProfitHQ.com and fall for the fake blogs sites are new to the internet or new to the idea of running an online business.

Here’s an obvious warning about fake blogs with fake stories and fake photos…They’re FAKE!
I know it sounds ridiculous to mention that point, but I still see people taking the advice of fake blogs and then getting angry when they find out that the “get-rich-product” the blog was promoting was NOT “all that and a bag of chips” – and in fact turns out to be MUCH, MUCH, less – or sometimes even a complete scam.
So why are people turning to fake blogs instead of legitimate resources like TheProfitHQ.com that they can go to for real help from REAL people?
I don’t know really. The people falling for the fake blog stories are by no means uneducated or dumb for the most part – in fact many people falling for the fake blog stories are quite bright.

Can fake blogs really help you? In a sense they can. They can tell you which products to AVOID. It seems recently that as a rule of thumb you should AVOID any product that a fake blog is recommending.
So far most people aren’t doing that and often ending up in a financial nightmare where they are desperately trying to cancel recurring monthly charges.

Apparently more and more people are looking for fake advice? How do I know this and what do I mean?
I meant that people are flocking to fake blogs like crazy while ignoring sites offering real help like TheProfitHQ.com and others. But why do people keep falling for nonsense and avoiding real help?
I think it’s because despite their claims that they are sick of hype and get rich schemes, there is some big part of them that still wants to believe that they’re out there. Of course, just like in any business, the more up front effort you put into something, the easier it is to make money later on.
That’s why the best sites like TheProfitHQ.com focus on the fundamentals so heavily. Believe it or not – fundamental laws of income STILL apply online. They don’t magically change once you’re connected to the internet.

Why do people get sucked into fake blogs with fake people and fake stories? You know the ones that promise you can make $5,000/month “posting links” on Google?
Is it because the desire for freedom is so much stronger than the desire for truth? The funny thing is there are plenty of reliable business sites around like TheProfitHQ.com that can give them the chance to find both (truth AND freedom when it comes to business).

Now, what’s baffling is how popular these fake blogs have become – especially when you consider the fact that there are REAL people offering REAL home business direction at places like TheProfitHQ.com and others.
So who are YOU going to listen to? Fake people with fake stories and fake photos? Or REAL people who actually want to HELP you succeed?
There have been a ridiculous amount of fake blogs populating the internet lately. And there seems to be no end in site. In fact the number of fake blogs I’ve seen so far has reached the thousands.
When will it end? Will it end? Or will I have to keep adding to the fake blog list?
Michael Brown of TheProfitHQ.com (which has great information on running online businesses) was the first to alert me to these fake blogs last year.
How bad is it? Just take a quick glance at the number of fake blogs starting with the letter “f” only:

How many fake blogs pumping fake “get rich” stories and fake photos do we need online? I guess a lot because I see new ones almost every day!
They usually show a check supposedly from Google of varying amounts – but typically $5,000 for some reason. They also claim that you can make money posting a link on Google or posting “links”.
Then they push people into trial offers that have monthly charges if the person doesn’t cancel. And many of the trial offers hide the terms of those monthly charges.
On the other hand legitimate online business training sites like TheProfitHQ.com have real people behind them that actually want to helpe you succeed.

Can you believe how many fake business owners there are on fake websites? It’s just growing out of hand. And bizarrely the people running these fake websites seem to think it’s just fine and dandy to run them.
I don’t.
Besides, why would anyone want to purchase a product recommended by a fake person? I guess they get sucked into the trial offers thinking – maybe not realizing there will be monthly fees?
Or maybe they don’t even realize the sites are fake and most of the photos are either stolen or from stock photo sites.
On the other hand, there are legitimate online business teachers like Michael Brown who runs the increasingly popular website TheProfitHQ.com who actually cares whether or not you succeed.

“Fake blogs are corrupted forms of public relations, which as a discipline demands transparency and honesty, according to the Public Relations Society of America’s code of ethics and the Word of Mouth Marketing Association’s code of ethics. Authenticity and transparency are important in social networking and blogging, as these codes of ethics attest.”
Maybe you’ve never been fooled by fake blogs using made up stories about made up stories that give fictional accounts of their online success – you know the type that show the Google Check and often use stock photos?
Maybe you’re too smart for that. But many people aren’t – even smart people! Instead of getting real information about making money online from real sites like TheProfitHQ.com I’ve seen them put themselves into financial misery by signing up for one of the “trial offers” that the fake blogs are pushing…only to discover later that many of those blogs (not all) are pushing offers that that hide the fact that there are substantial monthly fees involved.
How many fake blogs are out there? A ton of them!
Unfortunately they completely dwarf the number of really helpful sites like TheProfitHQ.com by a large margin.

Many of the fake blog sites have promoted negative option offers which the FTC has held workshops on in the past to cover such areas as:
“1) the pros and cons of negative option marketing from consumer, business, and academic perspectives; 2) consumer behavior with respect to online offers; 3) applicable standards for making negative option offers; and 4) how to make disclosures clear and conspicuous, yet compatible with the advertising message. It is anticipated that public comments on each of these topics will help workshop participants develop and shape industry best practices for making negative option offers both off- and on-line.”
